These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the Money by Jane website, mobile application, platform, courses, tools, calculators, JaneAI, content, communications and related services.

Money by Jane is operated by Jane Wealth Pty Ltd, trading as Money by Jane.

In these Terms of Use, “Money by Jane”, “Jane Wealth”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Jane Wealth Pty Ltd.

By accessing or using Money by Jane, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must not access or use Money by Jane.

1. About Money by Jane

Money by Jane provides financial education, digital tools, courses, content, calculators, AI-powered features and related resources designed to help users build financial confidence and better understand money.

Money by Jane may include features such as:

  • educational courses and lessons

  • budgeting tools

  • investment calculators

  • superannuation projection tools

  • net wealth calculators

  • money personality quizzes

  • financial planning tools

  • virtual investor tools

  • JaneAI

  • articles, webinars, guides and other educational content.

Money by Jane may evolve over time. We may add, remove, change or update features at our discretion.

2. General information only

Unless we expressly state otherwise, the information, tools, content and features provided through Money by Jane are general in nature and are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Money by Jane does not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs.

Nothing on Money by Jane is intended to be, or should be relied on as:

  • personal financial advice

  • financial product advice

  • legal advice

  • tax advice

  • accounting advice

  • investment advice

  • credit advice

  • a recommendation to acquire, hold or dispose of any financial product

  • a recommendation to make any financial decision.

Before acting on any information, you should consider whether it is appropriate for your circumstances and seek independent professional advice from an appropriately qualified adviser.

3. No client adviser relationship

Your use of Money by Jane does not create a financial adviser, legal adviser, tax adviser, accountant, fiduciary, broker, lender or professional advisory relationship between you and Money by Jane.

Any content, response, calculation, plan, output or suggestion generated by Money by Jane, including JaneAI, is for general educational purposes only unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.

4. User responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • the information you provide to Money by Jane

  • checking that any information, calculation or output is accurate and appropriate before relying on it

  • making your own financial decisions

  • obtaining professional advice where appropriate

  • ensuring that your use of Money by Jane complies with applicable laws.

You acknowledge that financial decisions involve risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

5. Calculators, tools and projections

Money by Jane may provide calculators, tools, projections, quizzes, financial planning features or other interactive resources.

These tools are provided for general education and illustrative purposes only.

Outputs may be based on assumptions, estimates, information entered by you, historical data, general modelling or simplified calculations. They may not reflect your complete financial position, current market conditions, tax position, future returns, fees, inflation, interest rates or personal circumstances.

You should not rely on any calculator, projection, tool or output as a complete or accurate assessment of your financial position or as a substitute for professional advice.

6. JaneAI and AI-powered features

Money by Jane may include AI-powered features, including JaneAI.

JaneAI is designed to support education, guidance and general understanding. JaneAI is not a human adviser and does not provide personal financial advice, financial product advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice or any other professional advice.

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or not suitable for your circumstances. You should independently verify important information before relying on it.

You should not enter highly sensitive information into JaneAI unless necessary and you are comfortable doing so.

We may monitor, review or use AI interactions to operate, improve, test and secure Money by Jane, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Accounts and login details

You may need to create an account to access some features of Money by Jane.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when creating or using your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and confidential. You must not share your account with another person.

You must notify us as soon as possible if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account secure.

8. Eligibility

Money by Jane is intended for users aged 18 years and over.

By using Money by Jane, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

We may refuse access, suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe a user does not meet eligibility requirements.

9. Acceptable use

You must use Money by Jane lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with these Terms of Use.

You must not:

  • use Money by Jane for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful purposes

  • interfere with or disrupt the operation of Money by Jane

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or data

  • copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or extract data from Money by Jane without permission

  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code from the app or platform

  • upload or transmit viruses, malware or harmful code

  • use Money by Jane to harass, abuse, threaten or harm another person

  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

  • provide false, inaccurate or misleading information

  • use Money by Jane to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful or misleading content

  • use Money by Jane in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms of Use.

10. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in Money by Jane, including the website, app, platform, design, branding, logos, graphics, text, videos, courses, tools, calculators, software, layouts, features and content, are owned by or licensed to Jane Wealth Pty Ltd.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use Money by Jane for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, sell, licence, publish, transmit or otherwise exploit any part of Money by Jane without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.

11. User content

You may provide information, text, responses, prompts, comments, documents, financial details or other content through Money by Jane.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant us a licence to use, store, process, reproduce and display that content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, improve, secure and develop Money by Jane.

You confirm that you have the right to provide any content you submit and that your content does not infringe the rights of any other person.

We may remove or restrict access to user content where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms of Use or applicable law.

12. Subscriptions, payments and fees

Some parts of Money by Jane may be free. Other parts may require payment, subscription or membership.

Where paid features are offered, pricing, inclusions, billing periods, renewal terms and cancellation options will be displayed at or before the time of purchase.

You agree to pay all applicable fees for the products or services you purchase.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers or app store platforms. Your payment may also be subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.

13. App store purchases

If you download or purchase Money by Jane through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or another app distribution platform, your use of the app may also be subject to the terms, conditions and policies of that platform.

To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms of Use and the applicable app store terms, the app store terms may apply to your use of the app through that platform.

For Apple users, if we do not provide a separate end user licence agreement, Apple’s standard licensed application end user licence agreement may apply to your use of the app.

14. Cancellations and refunds

Your cancellation and refund rights may depend on how you purchased the relevant product or service.

If you purchased through an app store, cancellations and refunds may need to be managed through that app store.

If you purchased directly from Money by Jane, any cancellation or refund terms displayed at the time of purchase will apply.

Nothing in these Terms of Use limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Third-party services and links

Money by Jane may include links, integrations, references or access to third-party websites, platforms, services, products, content or tools.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies and fees.

Links or references to third-party services do not necessarily mean that we endorse, recommend or guarantee them.

16. Partner products and services

From time to time, Money by Jane may introduce, refer to or provide access to third-party products, partners or service providers.

Any third-party product or service is provided by the relevant third party, not by Money by Jane, unless we expressly state otherwise.

You should review all relevant terms, disclosures, fees, risks and privacy policies before using any third-party product or service.

17. Availability and changes

We aim to make Money by Jane available and useful, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or part of Money by Jane at any time, including features, content, pricing, availability or functionality.

We may also perform maintenance, updates or changes that affect access to Money by Jane.

We aim to provide useful and up-to-date information, but we do not guarantee that all information on Money by Jane is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances.

21. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Money by Jane is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Money by Jane will meet your needs or expectations

  • Money by Jane will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate or error-free

  • any outputs, calculations, AI responses or educational content will be complete, current or suitable for your circumstances

  • use of Money by Jane will result in any financial outcome, return, saving, investment result or improvement in your financial position.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

22. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jane Wealth Pty Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, advisers and related entities are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from or connected with your use of Money by Jane, including reliance on any content, tool, calculator, projection, AI response or other output.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms of Use limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

23. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Jane Wealth Pty Ltd against any loss, damage, cost, expense or claim arising from your breach of these Terms of Use, your misuse of Money by Jane, your unlawful conduct, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

This indemnity is subject to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.

24. Suspension or termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to Money by Jane if:

  • you breach these Terms of Use

  • we reasonably suspect unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity

  • we are required to do so by law

  • continued access may create risk for us, you, other users or third parties

  • we discontinue Money by Jane or any part of it.

You may stop using Money by Jane at any time.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.

25. Changes to these Terms of Use

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

The updated version will be published on our website or made available through the app.

The date at the top of these Terms of Use shows when they were last updated.

Your continued use of Money by Jane after updated Terms of Use are published means you agree to the updated terms.

If we make material changes, we may take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email, in-app notice or website notice.

26. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

You agree that the courts of New South Wales, Australia have jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms of Use or your use of Money by Jane.
